River Island White Shirt Collar Bib

I have never seen this in shops before but when I walked into River Island and saw it I was taken aback.
The collar was £10 and the size of it is big enough to cover even the deepest of shirt necks, successfully covering up to your shoulders.

The material is a good quality, thick white cotton, and has gold spiked stud buttons to decorate. Luckily it is one size fits all!

I have found it to be a great use under all types of tight jumpers were wearing blouses or shirts underneath would be too uncomfortable.

Under a jumper it looks exactly like a plain white shirt- no one will be able to tell it is just a collar!

What do you think of it?

Sixth Form Autumn Haul

Never thought I'd say this but, oh how I miss those days were I got to have a school uniform. I just started sixth form a couple of weeks ago and having to think of something to wear everyday was initially a challenge. Luckily, at my school the dress code isn't too 'formal' but not 'causal' either, more of an inbetween, so I can get away with wearing quite a bit of things I already owned. However I went browsing in shops lately and found some lovely new season items I couldn't resist buying......
WARNING: This haul may contain a bit too many berry shades so beware!

One of the very first things I bought was this Dorothy Perkins dress that costs £18 and that I instantly loved because of the sweetheart neckline, it is so flattering and the slightly flared skirt creates a lovely shape. I don't know how Dorothy Perkins do it but I've noticed all their dresses try to create a hourglass shape- it's like a signature for them.

I have been wanting a necklace like this for ages. It took me so long to find one, but in the end I settled for this River Island oversized pearl necklace that is £10. More than what I'd usually spend for a necklace but oh well.

Also at River Island I picked up these thick grey leggings that I know are going to be so cosy when the colder weather begins. I think they fit soo well and can be dresses up or down according to the occassion. They were £22.

This other top is from Dorohty Perkins and is made from a surprisingly thick material. This enables me to easily wear it now but even in the winter and is such a lovely colour. The fit is boxy but also formal, and just an overall versatile wear.It was £16.

I've been looking for a smart pair of shoes and I think these ones tick all of the boxes. On the tag it said they were an 'Oxblood' colour even if they nearly look black in normal daylight. However you can see it has warm undertones and as soon as you turn the flash on they go a dark red colour. Great buy, they were £14 from Dorothy Perkins.

I am aware that this is the 4th item I have bought in this shade, but I can't help myself! I think it just screams Autumn when you look at it. This jumper is supersoft, slightly loose fitting and was £19.99 from New Look.

Lastly this belt is from Primark and was £1.50. The owls on it look very cute and you could wear this to accessorise many things.

Comment on what you like best! xx

Summer Buys!

Ahh, the summer sales. The shops might be packed, but the big discounts you can get in some places totally make up for it. I have bought some basics, but also some more singular pieces, from New Look, River Island and Primark so please enjoy!

These beautiful tribal earrings from New Look originally cost them £5.99, but I only got them for £2. They can be used to  add interest to any outfit and are perfect for festivals.

This perfect pair of pearl earrings is simple but also a timeless classic, I can imagine wearing them with a nice up-do and tea dress. They were £2.50 in the sale.

These sandals from New Look were not discounted but still cheap-only £7.99! I've been wanting simple tan coloured sandals for ages and thought these were the perfect match!

Cream flats have the power to be worn with everything, and all year round. I paid them only £6 from New Look, and I already know that the cost per wear price will be nothing!

A simple dress from Primark which was only £13- this can also be worn most of the year and in many situations, from an afternoon out with friends to sixth form come September.

This is from the River Island sale and I paid it £15 instead of £30 (half price!) and is a basic beige trouser. Again the wear-ability of it is great, and the gold zip detail on the side of it adds beauty to the item.

And best for last, my favourite piece. Again it was a £15 from River Island instead of £38, and the bright summery colour is what attracted me to it. I just love the way it fits with the skirt flaring slightly, and also the collar detail which makes it look so much more cuter.

Have you bought anything in the sales yet??

The Body Shop goodie bag

I went into my local town centre yesterday and guess what- the Body Shop store was getting reopened and they were giving goodie bags away to the first customers! They also gave a £3 off voucher which I used to buy the Almond body butter with, but everything else was completely free. It was handed to me in a lovely reusable bag which I am sure I will find many uses for.

Refining bath lily- Beautiful and big so assures you will get a rich lather, while gently exfoliating your skin - a must buy! This is also stronger than cheaper versions other shops sell, so I am really looking forward to using it.

Coconut body butter- This is the smaller version of the usual bigger product, but obviously just as good. The smell of coconut is not too overpowering, and as soon as the product comes in contact with the skin it melts, leaving no sticky residue. Great for dry skin.

Strawberry shower gel-This is a 60 ml version of the original, which is soap free so suitable for sensitive skin. Again the smell isn't overpowering, and strawberry oil in it will keep your skin nice and moisturised.

Vitamin E Cream Cleanser- This best seller cream cleanser is suitable for all skin types and even removes eye make-up. The vitamin E and Shea butter in it softens and moistures your complexion, leaving you with a healthy glow.

Pink grapefruit body scrub- I think this has either a love it or hate it scent, but personally I love the sharp zingy smell that leaves me feeling energised and ready to face the day. The scrub itself works well, containing pink grapefruit oil, which leaves even your elbows and knees soft.

Almond body butter- This is the only product I bought and paid it £2, as they gave me a £3 off voucher which could be used on any product. I have never picked this type up before but I was pleasantly surprised by the sublime smell. This one contains sweet almond oil and is more suitable for dry skin as it does leave a bit of an oily residue, but also leaves your skin feeling very hydrated.

Overall these are the perfect size for someone to take on holiday with them, so will definitely be using them this summer!
So I spent £2 that day and got this many products..............not bad, huh?

Spring Make-up Buys

First Superdrug with the buy 1 get one half price on Rimmel, them boots with their 3 for 2's - how could I resist?

Both of these are first buys and I have been loving them. The crystal clear vinyl lip gloss can be a bit sticky but does dry and leave behind a glossy shine that lasts. The foundation is light coverage and easily blended, leaving behind a dewy look. A definite pro must be that even if it contains SPF18 it doesn't leave much of a white cast in flash photography!

This has always been one of my favourite concealers as it can hide all sorts of imperfections even when used alone. It lasts for ages, but due to its consistency can settle into fine lines so make sure to use powder on top! The only con must be the amount of shades, there are only 4 in this range.

Collection's lasting colour lipsticks only cost me £2.99 each, but last so much longer than higher end lipsticks I have bought before! Their consistency is not to dry, making it easy to apply on lips. I bought a deep red colour and a more pinky nude for everyday use.

First buy for both of these with the first being a lip liner, and the second being an eye liner. I have found that the nude pink shade of the lip liner is much darker than my natural lip colour, but the long wear and consistency of it totally make-up for it. I love to buy from MUA so when I saw they had a white eye liner for £1 I just had to give it a go. It's great to use on the waterline to make you look more awake, or in the inner corner to give the illusion of bigger eyes. Plus, it also comes with a pencil sharper in the lid!

I buy this time and time again as nothing quite matches up to it. Its jet black colour and 3 end-felt tip make it so easy to create the perfect flick, you won't be able to live without it! It doesn't smudge during the day and even lasts under the rain. Unlike many felt tips, this doesn't dry out after a couple of months.

Have you got any great make-up you can't live without? Comment below!!

Spring Fashion Haul

I just couldn't wait to get my hands on a couple of new spring clothes so went shopping!

This is a very fine knit jumper from Primark and I bought it for only £6. Bargain!

And my obsession with pink flower jewellery continues after I bought this also from there for just £4.

This pink butterfly scarf  caught my eye while I was on my to the till as the neutral shades make it wearable with anything. It was £4.

The last thing I got from there was this travel bottle set which is always useful! It has different sized bottles with even a spray bottle top, a small pot, tiny funnel, plus stickers to label each one. It was just £1.

The next buy is the most expensive one from Topshop, £23, and is a lovely dark red colour t-shirt with the coca-cola logo on it. Find it here.

These next two buys are from New Look and are both textured boxy fitting t-shirts. The first floral one was £14.99 and can be found here, whereas the second pink one was £12.99 and can be found here.

These lace up plimsolls from New Look go well with every everything and are ever so comfortable! I paid them £11.99.

The last thing I bought was from Dorothy Perkins and is a floral cami dress which can be found here. It was just £16. The bright floral design was what caught my eye with the slightly flared skirt, and I can image it to be perfect for summer.

Now I just can't wait until the weather gets warmer - what about you?

January Sales

With January gone I can officially say that my sales shopping is over. I have bought a couple of things this month, and so here are my favourite picks:

This lovely knit jumper from Matalan only cost me £11.50 instead of the original price of £22. The jewelled collar was what caught my eye and made it stand out from the rest.

Next I bought this pair of earrings from New Look. This must be the fourth pair of pink flower earrings I own but I just couldn't resist. They look soo pretty. The original price was £5.99 and I paid £2.

From New Look I also bought this berry coloured ribbed beanie for £1 instead of £4.99. I was looking for something to keep me warm during these cold days we are now having in the UK and thought this was a perfect match.

One of the places I also visited was Accessorize, and as they had a 70% off sale I was eager to look for something. This beautiful gold chunky chain bracelet was different form anything I already owned and I paid it only £3.60 instead of £12 :) A bargain.

So,what have you enjoyed buying this month?

Last shopping of the year......

After all that time spent shopping for the last presents for other people,I went shopping for myself. With all the family reunions I will have to attend i guess this will be the last shopping spree of this year.......making me very sad as there are lots of great offers and sales around. The last place I visited? Primark. And here is what I bought:

The first item that caught my eye was a grey jumper with a cut-out floral stitched detail collar. It was so warm and soft as it contained 4% angora. This cost £14 - the most expensive thing I bought.

The second item was a lace skater dress in a dark berry shade, with three quarter length transparent sleeves. The material is soft and doesn't itch at all, I'm probably going to wear it on Christmas day! This cost me £10.

The next thing was a nice A-line leather mini-skirt with zip details. It was love at first sight with this; the quilted detail is so reminiscent of Chanel handbags and I'd been wanting a leather skirt for ages! It was also £10.

The last section of the store I visited was the accessories, I seriously cannot leave Primark without going there! Every time I need to pick-up something so I bought these pearl earrings, 5 different sizes, for £1. Bargain.

I just love Primark.
